IEA Scholarships

Applications available from the IEA Region Chair or field office staff or it may be downloaded. Children/legal wards of IEA members in good standing are invited to apply if the student wishes to pursue a career in teaching. In 2003 there were 39 scholarships awarded at $100 each.

Burger King Scholars

GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 Scale. Works and average of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. Demonstrates participation in community service and/or co-curricular activities. Demonstrates financial need, can obtain written recommendations from both school official and employer, and plans to enroll in two or four year college.

 

MensaEducation and Research Foundation Scholarship

Requirements: applicant must be enrolled, for the academic year following the award, in a degree program accredited American Institute of post-secondary education, must be resident of the area of a participating local group of American Mensa. General Awards Requirements: applicant does not need to be a member of the Mensa or be qualified for Mensa, and it is unrestricted to age, race, gender, and level of post-secondary education, and financial need.
